 The very first question that comes to mind is "what is a business card?"
Business cards are small pieces of paper containing the name, address, contact number, email address of the person giving that card. They are one of the cheapest and higher performaing ways of marketing. The costs involve in printing can be negotiated with the market benefits they provide.

There are basically two varieties of color business cards:

Plastic ones can be opaque, solid or transparent. Transparent plastic cards can be clear or tinted and are light in weight. Since they are transparent in nature there fore they can be printed only on one side. They can even have square corners and minimal art work.
Solid plastic business cards may have rounded corners and they can be printed on 2 sides with photographic, multi color and high resolution graphic. Many people believe that these plastic cards have more value in terms of money then the simple paper post cards but actually these plastic business cards are more economical and can depict a better image. They are more users friendly because mishandling of such cards will not damage them there fore they can be distributed for a longer period of time. Paper business cards are expensive because of the material used in their production is expensive and they also have a shorter life in comparison with the plastic business cards. They can be easily damaged. There fore their life is short.

a) They can be available in different colors according to the choice of the owner
b) They come in various designs, styles and are of different prices.
c) Can be double sided or may be single sided depending upon one's choice and requirement.
d) They can be folded out in small brochures or can be flashy at times.
e) One must choose business cards that suits his/her business image and also according to need and requirement.
f) The back ground image and color scheme is very in order to give a good impression on the customer.
g) There are also UV coated business cards available in the market, they are used because they have a longer life and are stylish and eye catching.
There are various qualities of paper available depending upon their thickness there fore one must choose such a paper that fulfills his/her needs and comes under the budget. As the thickness of the paper increases its cost is likely to increase. Thus it is very much clear that business cards are very important for a business man and that is why they cannot be taken lightly.
